Long time ago I saw a little girl dancing on a hindi classical song “piya tosa naina lagey re, naina lagay rey,” it was amazing. The expressions on her face I still remember, made me just looking at her and feel happy. She was too good. I asked my mom as how old she would be and the reply was “just three years old”. It was unbelievable. I was thinking as how could she feel and put expressions in such a way. She was learning bharat natiyam. From when she was learning? This was a very big question mark for me. I wanted to find the answer so that the waves jumping in my head should settle down. I asked my mom to check this with her mother. As my mother was the teacher of that school she knew about her. She told me that just few months back. I could not gulp this easily.

But today, I know and understand that it was a talent. Now the question is what is talent? A person who possesses unusual innate ability in some field or activity. Or an intellectual ability which can be natural or acquired and so on and on.These are the definitions i got from the web.

Do you remember someone who gave an excellent performance which you still remember? Or if you know someone who is really good at some thing. It can be any one. From a small kid to our old loving grannies. Let me give you an example. My baby never crawled the way other babies do. While crawling he used to fold one of his legs inside and only with one leg he use to crawl. And he used to be so fast that anyone who noticed him were not able to believe it. So that’s a talent. One of our neighbor’s daughter has such a beautiful hand writing that you can’t believe that its written by her. My elder son, when he was four years old use to draw pictures from the story books with the help of a pen. He never used pencils and erasers that time. so that’s the talent. Have you ever eaten beetroot’s sweetdish or potato sweetdish. One of our neighbor’s mother-in-law makes it. Isn’t this a talent.

I really want to know about such things. I know everyone has some or the other talent. Some of them share and some of them don’t. This is the only difference. Why do people keep their talent to themselves? Do you have any clue on that? Do you know if we share our success with others it helps in motivating people and giving them way to success? If we share our experiences with others it helps them taking the right decision. In the same way, if we share our talent with others, its going to help people who are learning a particular thing and does not have the super natural ability or the inborn talent to do it themselves. Its also going to help people who have a particular talent but needs few suggestions to improve upon them.

Talent is not restricted to just few fields. It can be any skill. I created this blog so that we can talk about our own talents and also of our friends, neighbors, sisters, brothers and so on.
